Movie Greens can help.
Our Greensman crew are specialised set dressers dealing with the artistic arrangement or landscape design of plant material, sometimes real...sometimes artificial, and usually a combination of both.
Each Greensman has a minimum of 10 years work experience in the film industry and is experienced in all scopes of greens work in a film. They have first-hand experience and are familiar with the protocol in reporting to art directors and/or production designers.
Our Greens staff have also worked extensively with specialists from other areas of the Art Dept. - Fabricators, Sculptors and Painters/Scenics.
Every Greensman at Movie Greens is a member in good standing of Iatse Local 891 and meets the following requirements:
- WHMIS Certified (Workplace Hazardous Information Material Systems)
- Forklift Operator
- Bobcat Operator
- Aerial Boom/Scissor Lift Operator
- Ability & experience in operating chainsaws and power tools
- Exterior/Interior Landscape experience
- Occupational First Aid Ticket Level 1 or higher
- Valid Drivers License
- FIOC (Film Industry Orientation Certificate)
- A good knowledge of common plant and tree species
